Nolan Allaer again will team up with HMD Motorsports in INDY NXT by Firestone in 2025, with eyes on racing the full season with the team after a partial schedule as a rookie in 2024.
Allaer again will drive the No. 11 HMD car with classic Martini-branded livery. He will participate with HMD this Friday, Oct. 18 in the Chris Griffis Memorial Test on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course.
“I am super excited to be back and ready to get going this Friday with the Chris Griffis test,” Allaer said. “Last year I was a bit behind due to starting my efforts in January, missing most of the offseason testing and then so much rain. This year we are beginning early, with eyes on St. Pete and the complete 2025 season.”
Allaer competed in 10 races with HMD in 2024. He recorded two top-10 finishes, including a best of eighth at Mid-Ohio. He made his oval debut in the season finale at Nashville Superspeedway.
“The plan for Nolan to return in 2025 was one that started to come together in 2024 right after his final road course race at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course,” HMD President Mike Maurini said. “Wanting to make sure that funding was in place for the 2025 season, Nolan has his sights on a full offseason of testing as he progresses into his 2025 campaign.”
Allaer took a major step forward in 2024 by moving up to INDY NXT by Firestone. He previously competed in the BRSCC National Formula Ford championship in England and in two years of SCCA Runoffs National Championship competition, where he claimed three championship wins.
Michigan native Allaer will join already confirmed HMD drivers Caio Collet, Josh Pierson, Tommy Smith, Bryce Aron and Hailie Deegan for the 2025 season. HMD will continue to announce more drivers for its 2025 INDY NXT by Firestone lineup.
