Chip Ganassi Racing (CGR) has finalized its 2025 driver lineups for the NTT INDYCAR SERIES, with Scott Dixon, Alex Palou and Kyffin Simpson staying with the team.

Defending and three-time NTT INDYCAR SERIES champion Alex Palou will return to the team in the No. 10 DHL Honda. Six-time champion and 2008 Indianapolis 500 winner Scott Dixon once again will drive the No. 9 PNC Bank Honda. They join Kyffin Simpson, who will drive the No. 8 Journie Rewards Honda.

In 2024, Palou delivered his third INDYCAR SERIES championship in the last four seasons. He became the first back-to-back champion since Dario Franchitti from 2009-11, also driving the No. 10 Chip Ganassi Racing Honda. He’ll attempt to repeat Franchitti’s feat of three consecutive championships next season.

“2024 was another amazing season in the books,” Palou said. “The work doesn’t stop, and I can’t wait to be back on track with more hunger than ever in 2025.”

Dixon’s two wins in 2024 put him just nine wins away from A.J. Foyt’s record of 67. He has won a race in 20 consecutive years and in 22 of his 24 seasons. He also earned his 142nd career podium finish in the INDYCAR SERIES in 2024, setting the record for podiums in the series. He also surpassed 400 career starts, becoming the second driver to achieve the mark.

“I’m excited,” Dixon said. “I’m ready to get going. I wish there wasn’t such a long offseason.

“We had lots of great races last year. It didn’t end the way that we would’ve liked with some DNFs and some poor results here and there, but the team did a great job with great speed. I’m looking forward to the season and obviously going for championship number seven.”

Kyffin SimpsonSimpson (photo, left) will enter his second season in the series. Last season, the 19-year-old logged valuable laps and showed much promise, leading multiple laps during the 108th running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge.

“I am very excited to continue with Chip Ganassi Racing in 2025,” Simpson said. “I look forward to building on a strong start to my INDYCAR career and I can’t wait to see what our team can achieve together.”

CGR also announced earlier this month it has formed a technical alliance with Meyer Shank Racing starting with the 2025 season.

The 2025 NTT INDYCAR SERIES starts Sunday, March 2 with the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg presented by RP Funding, with live coverage on FOX and the INDYCAR Radio Network.
